We offer upgrade packages on all Activo-Med Systems and part exchange on some other brands too. So whether you have a pulsed electromagnetic only rug and you would like to add the massage or whether you just have a really old rug you will be qualify.

You will receive a brand new system and we will pick up your old system to save you the time and cost of advertising and selling the old one privately, packaging it up and sending it.

Delivering your new system and picking up your old system is included in the package.

• The biggest difference is that the latest rug has therapy units on the shoulders and thigh areas allowing direct treatment of these areas.
• The latest rug has an upgraded control box which allows both pulsed electromagnetic and massage to work at the same time. The old rug switches between therapies meaning the treatment times are longer and may not contain the same amount of either therapy.
• The applicator which contains the therapy units is now split into five strips that run accross the horses back within the rug. The old rug has one long applicator meaning that the new rug is a lot more breathable.
• The new rug comes with better instructions and full back up if you have any questions on appropriate settings for certain conditions etc.
• Both rugs have good batteries which last up to 5 years depending on use (warranted for 2 years). You will get approximately 15 treatments from one charge and can top the battery up at any time to ensure you are never caught short.
• Both rugs are machine washable and easy to put back together again afterwards.
• Both rugs come with control boxes, batteries, chargers, instructions and a transport bag which is strong but soft for easy storage.
